Keywords:

Schizophrenia patients who are not compliant with treatment will have a higher risk of relapse compared to patients who are compliant with treatment. Patient non-adherence in treatment can be caused by several factors including poor family support and poor access to health services. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and access to health services with compliance with re-control of schizophrenia patients at the Jambi Provincial Mental Hospital. This study used a cross sectional design. The research was conducted on December 27, 2023 to January 13, 2024 at the Mental Polyclinic of the Jambi Provincial Mental Hospital. The research sample was a family who accompanied schizophrenia patients to control treatment at the Mental Polyclinic of the Jambi Provincial Mental Hospital, totaling 70 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method. The data collection method was an interview using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. A total of 31.4% of respondents had poor compliance, 35.7% of respondents had poor family support, 34.3% of respondents had difficult access to health services. There is a relationship between family support (p-value = 0.000) and access to health services (p-value = 0.000) with compliance with re-control of schizophrenia patients at the Jambi Provincial Mental Hospital. Compliance with re-control of schizophrenia patients at the Mental Polyclinic of the Jambi Provincial Mental Hospital is related to family support and access to health services. For this reason, it is hoped that the hospital will provide education to families so that families can provide support to schizophrenic patients.
