2026-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 fazlatul amaliah fazlatul amaliah, Fitri Nurhaliza, Neni Alfidah , Nur Fitriyani, Nur Haliza, Kristina Everentia Ngasuhttps://ojs.stikessaptabakti.ac.id/jrmk/article/view/1088The Effect of Olive Oil Therapy on Reducing Pruritus in Hemodialysis Patients2026-06-29T11:37:30+07:00Indaryani Indaryaniindrayani101182@gmail.com
Background: Chronic Kidney Failure patients undergoing hemodialysis who experience pruritus are now widely discussed because it turns out this condition is not just a "normal itch," but significantly affects the patient's quality of life, including sleep, stress, depression, and an increased risk of death. This condition is known as CKD-associated pruritus or uremic pruritus. Many patients do not report it because they consider itching to be a "normal" part of dialysis. However, approximately 31–40% of hemodialysis patients experience moderate to severe pruritus. The presence of pruritus requires efforts to improve the problem, one of which is the administration of olive oil therapy, which can reduce the degree of pruritus. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of olive oil therapy to reduce the degree of pruritus in patients undergoing hemodialysis.

Method: This research method was quasi-experimental. Sampling was carried out using an accidental sampling technique.

Results: Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that olive oil therapy had a significant effect on reducing pruritus in patients undergoing hemodialysis (p = 0.001).

Conclusion: This study recommends that olive oil therapy be given to help reduce the degree of pruritus so that it can reduce disruption of skin integrity in patients undergoing hemodialysis.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Indaryani Indaryanihttps://ojs.stikessaptabakti.ac.id/jrmk/article/view/1071Dominant Risk Factors For Coronary Heart Disease In Patients Aged <45 Years: A Case-Control Study At M Yunus Hospital Bengkulu2026-06-29T09:15:40+07:00Nengke Puspita Sarinengkerania@gmail.com
Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) has traditionally been associated with older adults, but its incidence among individuals aged <45 years is increasing globally. Modifiable risk factors such as smoking, hypertension, dyslipidemia, physical inactivity, and psychosocial stress are suspected to contribute significantly to early-onset CHD. However, evidence regarding the dominant risk factors in young adults from resource-limited regions such as Bengkulu remains limited. Identifying the most influential risk factors is essential for designing targeted prevention strategies.

Method: This study employed a quantitative approach using a case-control design. A total of 120 participants (60 cases of CHD aged <45 years and 60 controls without CHD, matched by age and sex) were recruited from RSUD M Yunus Bengkulu. Data on smoking, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, family history of CHD, physical activity, and stress level (measured by Perceived Stress Scale-10/PSS-10) were collected through medical records and structured interviews. Bivariate analysis used chi-square tests, while multivariate analysis used logistic regression to determine dominant risk factors (adjusted odds ratio/AOR) with a significance level of p<0.05.

Results: Bivariate analysis showed that smoking (p=0.001; OR=4.2), hypertension (p=0.003; OR=3.8), dyslipidemia (p=0.002; OR=3.9), physical inactivity (p=0.010; OR=2.9), and high stress (p=0.001; OR=4.5) were significantly associated with CHD in patients aged <45 years. Multivariate logistic regression identified high stress (AOR=5.1; 95% CI: 2.12–12.42; p=0.001) and smoking (AOR=4.5; 95% CI: 1.90–10.64; p=0.001) as the dominant risk factors after controlling for confounding variables. Hypertension and dyslipidemia remained significant but with lower AOR values, while diabetes mellitus and family history were not statistically significant.

Conclusion: High stress and smoking are the dominant risk factors for coronary heart disease among patients aged <45 years at RSUD M Yunus Bengkulu. These findings suggest that cardiovascular prevention programs for young adults should prioritize smoking cessation interventions and stress management strategies. Community-based screening for stress and tobacco use, integrated into primary healthcare services, is strongly recommended.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Nengke Puspita Sarihttps://ojs.stikessaptabakti.ac.id/jrmk/article/view/846PENGARUH EDUKASI MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA LEAFLET TERHADAP PERUBAHAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN TENTANG PENTINGNYA SADARI PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI SMPN 2 PASAR KEMIS 2026-05-04T09:33:35+07:00zakiyatun nupus nupuszakiyatunnufus728@gmail.com
Breast cancer or tumors are a serious health problem with global impact, including in indonesia.
