Abstract - Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a non-communicable disease that has become a global problem due to its increasing incidence worldwide. This trend is largely attributed to low public knowledge about DM, including risk factors, healthy lifestyles, and the importance of controlling blood glucose levels. Insufficient awareness of blood glucose testing leads to late prevention efforts. The objective of this Community Service Activity was to conduct blood glucose tests and provide DM education, focusing on mothers and the elderly participating in Posyandu activities. On April 6, 2026, at Posyandu Anggrek Asri Betungan Health Center, 24 participants (15 mothers and 9 elderly) took part. The activity began with the provision of educational materials about Diabetes Mellitus and continued with blood glucose checks using a test strip and glucometer. Blood glucose tests revealed that 8% of participants, indicating prediabetes and 21% of participants, indicating diabetes mellitus, This community service activity has provided great benefits to participants in increasing public knowledge and awareness about early detection of diabetes mellitus.
