Authorship Criteria
JKB follows the authorship criteria of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Each author must have: (1) made substantial contributions to the conception, design, data acquisition, or analysis; (2) drafted or critically revised the manuscript; (3) approved the final version; and (4) agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work.
Contributors who do not meet all four criteria are acknowledged in the Acknowledgment section. Each article includes an Author Contributions statement using the CRediT taxonomy. Changes to the author list after submission require a written request signed by all authors and approval by the Editor-in-Chief.
